Daniel Davidson, born c1784 in Nova Scotia. He was a ship carpenter.Died Oct 1847 age 85* in Calais (adv, g.s.). Buried 22 Oct1847 in Calais Cemetery. Census: 1830 Calais 3 males, 4 females.
He married Mary Ann Camphor, born c1795 in Fredericton, NewBrunswick (1850 census). Died 16 Mar 1864 age 73y 4m in Calais(VR:3:308, congo). Buried in Calais Cemetery. Census: 1850and 1860 in Calais.
*[this must be either a typo or an error in the original records– c1784 would make him 66 and Calais VR records him as being66 at death]

thought burned. The book was discovered by accident in August2000.
These are the official records made at the time by the TownClerk. By dates it comes before Calais Vital Records Book 1.
The various tax lists are 1820 thru 1830. Daniel is found inthe 1823 thru 1829 listings as follows:
